And it Begins: Obama Pledges to Review Gun Control Options (Video)

Speaking to a civil rights conference in New Orleans, Barack Obama pledges to work with leaders of both parties on how to reduce gun violence. The US president says he believes in the second amendment, which guarantees Americans the right to bear arms, but the sale of guns to criminals and mentally unbalanced people should be prevented.

Yes, this sounds nice.  But, who, or what governmental entity will determine who is, or isn't mentally unbalanced?  


This reminds me of an episode of an old television show that demonstrated how 'normalcy' is based on perception.  That said, the government could hypothetically determine many otherwise 'safe' citizens 'could' act irrationally; thus should be denied the ability to posses  firearms.
