OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT ELECT, DONALD TRUMP - From a Voter

Dear Mr.  Trump;               11/9/16

Congratulations on the victory you have realized.  Your hard work payed off in a way that surprised many; including myself.

Let me express the expectations of the people who elected you.

Toward the end of your campaign you began saying this would be a nation whose government woudl be of, by and for the people and yo'd point at your audience.  That's awesome.  But, we also heard hyour pledge to America about repealing obamacare and replacing it with something that works, that you would protect our borders, that you would fix our trade imbalances, and that you would restore the rule of law.  You said ypu'd support the constitution of the United States of America.

These points are why we elected you and we expect you to uphold your end of the deal.  Appointing folks who will work toward these common goals.

Other goals to address as you've stated are fixing our education system and getting rid of commom core.  You said you'd appoint Supreme Court Justices who would ABIDE BY THE CONSTITTOPM.

We are going to hold you to these items as well.

Finally, I want to thank you for doing what you did. Thank you for putting yourself out there for our nation.  You've allowed the spotlight to be pointed directly at your entire life.  Thank you.

One other thing, please be respectful and presidential toward our  veterans and fallen soldiers.  As a veteran myself, I respect a man who respects those of us who have put our lives on the line for our constitution.

I believe you could be 'a statesmen' on par with Lincoln.

When the liberal media mocks you and tears you down, don't pay them any attention.  Please speak to America on major issues like race relations.  Call for measured behavior and unity.  Pull America together.  Include minorities and women and be sensative to their views.  Please don't be prideful and brash.

I'd like to ask you to pick up a Bible from time to time and find out what so many Americans believe in, and what guided them to vote for you.

This is enough for now.

Thanks again.

Yours truly,

Daniel Taverne
