Louisiana, Thank these Strong House Conservatives

Letter from Senator David Vitter.

From the Conservablogger inbox;

"Daniel,

We all continue to fight hard--relentlessly--for major reforms in Louisiana. But as we do, it's important to also celebrate important steps forward along the way and to thank those legislators responsible for them.

Just last week, the good 'ole boys were proposing to "balance" Louisiana's budget with "one-time" money--using Washington-type gimmicks and fuzzy math. The conservative reformers in our Louisiana House stood strong and instead cut the budget to truly balance it.

These stalwart conservatives in the House deserve our kudos. Please go out of your way to thank them for being truly responsible with our tax dollars. They stood up to a lot of pressure, including pressure created by typical Baton Rouge scare tactics suggesting that modest budget cuts will end the world as we know it.

If you want to leave a simple thank you message, just call the capital switchboard at 225-342-6945 and leave it under one or more of these representatives' names.

Our list of stalwarts--Representatives Adams, Barras, Berthelot, Stuart Bishop, Broadwater, Burford, Tim Burns, Carmody, Carter, Champagne, Connick, Danahay, Dove, Foil, Garofalo, Geymann, Greene, Guinn, Harris, Harrison, Havard, Henry, Hensgens, Hodges, Hollis, Howard, Huval, Lambert, Nancy Landry, Leopold, Ligi, Lopinto, Lorusso, Mack, Miller, Jay Morris, Jim Morris, Pearson, Ponti, Pope, Pugh, Pylant, Richard, Robideaux, Schexnayder, Schroder, Seabaugh, Simon, Talbot, Thompson and Whitney.

Now the fight moves to the Louisiana Senate. Help continue to rally support for the honest House budget so that it passes the Senate and is signed into law by Governor Jindal.

David"

Conservablogger Comment:

Good for those legislators who stood up and acted responsibly.  It appears to me that Republicans are the only party willing to do that.  Look at the U.S. Senate, for example, just this morning, I watched a a Democratic Senator  arguing against the latest Paul Ryan budget.

This Senator  (I'm not sure about his name) was belly-aching because of all the cuts the Ryan plan entailed, and he bitched and moaned saying the plan had tax cuts for wealthy people.

This brings me back to my point.  The Democrats (liberals)  aren't really interested in being fiscally responsible, so  they are a danger of the highest order to our Constitutional Republic.

We have to get them out of office replaced by true conservatives. We don't want to replace them with Rinos... we need Tea Party types in office who will stop the madness in Washington.
